About

I'm Martin. I'm an entrepreneur and builder based in Los Angeles.

I spent the early part of my career helping consumer brands grow. At Dr. Squatch, I was employee #13 and the company's first retail sales hire, where I built its retail business from the ground up and helped launch the brand into Walmart and grocery.

I later co-founded Highline Brands, a boutique retail brokerage working with emerging consumer brands on commercialization and distribution.

Today, my work focuses more broadly on commercialization: helping consumer businesses grow their existing revenue channels, build sustainable demand, and expand into new markets. I work with a select number of brands and CPG service providers through advisory and fractional engagements. I'm also interested in opportunities to build and lead commercial functions.

Outside of consumer brands, I develop residential real estate in Los Angeles. My first project was a neglected 1930 Spanish-style house that I renovated and converted into two homes, with a third unit in planning. I believe California needs more housing, and that small builders have an important role to play in creating it.

Outside of work, I'm usually in the mountains.

I'm a lifelong endurance athlete, former US National Team rower, and four-year collegiate athlete. I've run six marathons and four ultramarathons, and I'm training for my first 100K and 100-mile races in 2027.

I love climbing mountains, and whenever possible, skiing down them. Nature has always been a sacred place for me.
