Original Construction

Project
Residential Renovation & ADU Development
Status
Two residential units completed; third unit in planning

In 2021, I bought a neglected 1930 Spanish-style house on a hillside in El Sereno, Los Angeles.

I'd always dreamed of owning a duplex. Using California's ADU laws, I took what was originally a single-family home and converted it into two separate homes. I'm now planning a third unit in an underutilized storage area.

La Calandria was my first experience building something physical, from the initial idea through years of renovation, permitting, and construction.

It's also what got me interested in residential infill development and the opportunity for small builders to create more housing in California.
